Posterior Auricular Mass in a 34 Year Old WomanPage 1 of 7

The patient is a 34 year old woman with no history of malignancy who presented with a mass behind her right ear. She initially noticed a small pimple sized nodule 3-4 months ago. It increased in size and at presentation the nodule measured 1.5 cm. It was cystic and mobile, and clinically thought to be a sebaceous cyst vs. lymph node. She had no constitutional symptoms and denied any weight loss, hearing loss, loss of appetite, and pain. Patient had a FNA of the lesion and subsequently a surgical resection of the mass.
