Marketing the Cytologists: How Cytologists generate revenue for the Pathology Laboratory.

Celebrate Medical Laboratory Professional Week with a dynamic educational course designed to help enhance your knowledge and skills in advanced cytopathology practice.

The evolution of minimally invasive techniques and new diagnostic modalities placed new demands on medical laboratories. Cytologists find themselves uniquely poised to take on these new responsibilities. The Advanced Cytopathology Education Program will address potential roles for cytologists that go beyond screening cytology slides to add value and improve quality in the laboratory.

  • Explain limitations in pelvic washing cytology and staging for positive specimens.
  • Demonstrate real-world benefits of advanced cytology roles to assist in marketing the evolution of the Cytologist.

Continuing Medical Laboratory Education (CMLE)
The ASC designates this activity for a maximum of 5.75 Continuing Medical Laboratory Education (CMLE) credit hours for non-physicians. The CMLE credit hours meet the continuing education requirements for the ASCP Board of Registry Certification Maintenance Program.
