Liquid-based Rapid Onsite Evaluation of Endobronchial Ultrasound Cytologies

The eJournal is an online pathology journal club that reviews current articles from a peer-reviewed cytopathology Journal.

Participants will be able to review the journal article, commentary and webinar from the contributing author. This is a great self-assessment, teaching and continuing education tool.

Target Audience

This educational activity is designed for pathologists, cytopathologists, cytotechnologists, students and other members of the cytopathology community.

Learning Objectives

  • To understand the value of Rapid Onsite Evaluation (ROSE)
  • To understand the challenges of ROSE
  • To understand the concept of “liquid-based” and the rapid staining processes used in this study
  • To be able to describe the advantages of liquid-based ROSE over smear-based ROSE
  • To be able to describe limitations of liquid-based ROSE compared to smear-based ROSE
