A Multidisciplinary Approach to Rapid On-Site Evaluation (ROSE) of Endoscopic Ultrasound-Guided Fine Needle Aspirations (EUS-FNA) of Pancreatic Lesions
Raza Hoda, MD |
ROSE of EUS-FNA of pancreatic lesions not only enables immediate assessment of specimen adequacy but also provides the ability to instantly triage the samples. This webinar will present five illustrative cases with audience polling—which will provide the participants with an opportunity to exercise their understanding of practical diagnostic issues relating to the technique. Each case will demonstrate a particular focus with regards to use of clinical and radiological information, avoidance of pitfalls in adequacy assessment, appropriate specimen handling, application of diagnostic criteria and incorporation of ancillary techniques.
Target Audience
This educational activity is designed for pathologists, cytopathologists, cytotechnologists, students and other members of the cytopathology community.
Learning Objectives
- Understand the clinical utility of ROSE in the endoscopy suite
- Recognize clinical and radiological features associated with pancreatic lesions
- Identify pitfalls in adequacy assessment
